Roshell Hanse is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia. She is also credentialed as a National Certified Counselor and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. Roshell is currently working on her Ph. D in Counseling while working in private practice helping to empower and encourage those who come into her office.
Roshell graduated with her Bachelors degree from Florida A&M University which started her journey of Counseling as she majored in Psychology. She began her career working on Pennsylvania Ave in Washington, D.C. with a prominent Psychologist who provided services to many lawmakers, politicians, and the Washington Redskins. After leaving Washington, D.C. Roshell completed her Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling as she continued working with women to help encourage positive change in their lives through each organization she was employed.
Roshell created YESTINY in 2021 after quitting her job and seeking more professional freedom. Since then she has spoken on several panels empowering women to become their own YES and start creating the life that best aligns with their authentic self. Roshell helps women become their own YES through collaborative techniques that influence intentional thinking, increased self-esteem, and authenticity. Her empathic yet endearing counseling style allows clients to feel understood and inspired to start living the life they deserve. Roshell has a holistic approach to facilitating change and focuses primarily on the individual’s intentional thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
Roshell counsels and provides speeches to empower women to stand in their power and increase their confidence and self-worth. Women learn to reduce struggles of anxiety, depression, guilt, shame, rejection, relationship distress, trauma, life transitions, and invalidation. She is the youngest of five children from a single mother who experienced trauma from her early childhood. Those dynamics in her early life coupled with her experiences at FAMU helped shape the confident and tenacious women who learned that to live the life you want you have to be your own YES.
